About me

The only normal people are the ones you don't know very well

I'm a Programme Officer for Participation and Engagement at the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) with over 25 years experience developing and delivering technical trainings to both technical and non-technical users in the world of Association Management, and more recently, over the last 10 years, in the Biodiversity Informatics community. I am responsible for facilitating the development and delivery of Biodiversity Informatics courses particularly in the topic of biodiversity data mobilization. Through my work, I promote data mobilization activities and best practices as part of my commitment to improve the accessibility and quality of biodiversity data online for research. Additionally, I work to develop mentors and their associated activities to strengthen skills within the GBIF community which further enables recipients of GBIF-funded programmes to successfully mobilize their biodiversity data.
